I made a mistake and ordered the largest pizza they have and man was it the best mistake I have ever made! The giant pizza arrived fast, hot and I broke out laughing when I saw the delivery guy pull it out of the back of his SUV. I have lunch and dinner sorted for the rest of the week! I added my own vegan cheese and vegan buffalo wings chopped up.

This restaurant saved our NYE. I got a cancellation from another vendor 10 min before my party that they could not cater the food. JB’s not only saved this event but provided exceptional food and service. The experience was exceptional from the order placed to the delivery. Thank you JB’s for saving the night! This is carryout only, although there are some shelves if you want to eat a slice inside the lobby. I recommend the thin crust pizza. It is not a cracker thin crust, which is to me a very good thing. They pile on the cheese and the toppings, the sausage is very high quality, the crust is delicious, the blend of sauce and cheese is perfect. Again not the classic Tavern style, but more of the traditional Chicago Homestyle Pizzeria crust. The counter staff is super friendly, and they serve various slices. Excellent prices, great service, and probably the best thin crust in the far north side.

I don’t say this lightly: JB Alberto’s Pizza is my favorite pizza on Earth. I grew up in Chicago and later moved to San Diego for 11 years, and I told everyone about this place the whole time I was gone. When friends finally visited Chicago and tried JB Alberto’s, they all agreed — it’s on another level. Now that I’m back in the city, I order from JB’s roughly once a week. People who’ve never lived inside Chicago city limits tend to think deep dish is the Chicago standard, but true locals know that deep dish is more of a special-occasion thing. Thin crust is the real, everyday Chicago pizza — and JB Alberto’s has the best thin crust I’ve ever had. What do I love about it? The crust: perfect every time — crisp but never dry. The cheese: absolutely glorious. The toppings: they do not play around. Always loaded, always delicious. Every time I order, I’m already planning my next slice before I’ve even finished the first one. Also, shoutout to their delivery team — super fast, super friendly, and the pizza always arrives piping hot. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. If you love pizza and you haven’t tried JB Alberto’s yet, you’re not living life.

J.B. Alberto’s has hands down some of, if not altogether the, best tavern style thin crust in Chicago. My family has moved 3 times in the past 15 years, and each time our proximity to Alberto’s has been a factor in deciding on our new location! Their service is also top notch. They’re always helpful and kind, and even made an out of area delivery a while back for a special birthday party. Living and working in Rogers Park has also made me well aware of their cult following among neighbors and friends—Alberto’s is the best!
